I first started painting landscapes in 2015. Since then, my style has evolved drastically. Although I no longer paint in an impressionistic form, I now use thicker paint to create works in a more expressionistic style. As an artist, I believe all works, whether past or present, carry remnants of earlier styles. Even as a style evolves, some traits inevitably persist in current work. I draw inspiration for my paintings from the various places I visit across North America and beyond. My fondness for the vast wilderness of Southern and Central Ontario has led me to explore and capture the beauty of areas like the Forks of the Credit River, the Eastern Shores of Georgian Bay, Algonquin Park, Killarney Provincial Park, and the regions around Bancroft and Muskoka.
